Jamie, we're in the same boat. I'm only 25, and I've watched myself and my family struggle with weight forever. I'm in Westminster if you need a friend! [email protected] You've done it! You made it through to the other side. Congratulations! Rebekah

Congratulations Jamie! Keep walking, coughing and breathing deep -- in just a few short days you will be surprised at how good you feel. Welcome to the Other side!

Message on wings: Just got off the phone with Jamie. Apparently the surgery before hers ran long, so her original time of 7:30 became 11:30 (which she knew about in advance) and then 11:30 became 4 pm! Poor girl. She's sore and she's tired, but she's doing well. She said that she'd rather have surgery again than have her wisdom teeth out again! Keep her in your prayers, and welcome her to the other side!

Message on wings: Not much of an update here, but a minor one. Jamie's surgery was scheduled for 7:30 this morning. I called the hospital at 11:30 to check on her status, and she still hadn't been in to surgery. Called again about 4:00 pm, and they said that her status was "still in surgery". I don't know if that means that she got bumped again, if something else is going on, or if the surgeon is just meticulous. More information as soon as I have some.

Good Luck Jamie! You have a great attitude. That will make this so much easier for you! Like you, I worried about taking this risk and possibly not coming home to my beautiful children, but like you, I went through all the pre-ops and knew I was in as good a shape as possible. Our children desearve mothers that can run and play and have long lives! You'll do great. If you get blue (I did for a few days), but keep thinking about how great you are going to look and feel! See you on the "losing" side!

Jamie, I pray that your recovery will be fast and beyond your hopes. I ask that God watch over you and bring your through safely to the other side. Walk cough and breathe deep as you being your new life. God bless you.

Good luck and godspeed with your upcoming surgery, Jamie! If you need an angel, I'm willing to volunteer! I'm sure you've given this your complete consideration, and that you are making the right decision for you. There are so many people supporting you every step of the way. Congrats!
