I am now 4 years on from my actual surgery. My BMI has gone from 40.5 to 21/22 and I am maintaining at that level for over 3 years. I feel that the VSG operation was the best health decision I have ever made except giving up smoking as that was killing me too! I have not found the weight loss journey difficult and I am having a great time now enjoying parties and clothes and all the things others take for granted. I can eat what I want, just in smaller amounts and I have no digestive problems. All is good and I am very happy so I commend the VSG to all in a similar boat.
