My Journey

Mar 14, 2015

I have been overweight all my life.  I have always been active in sports when I was in high school and so always had to work harder to keep up with everyone else.  Later in my adult life you are not always as active and then slowly the weight comes on and you are not always eating healthy foods.  In 2010 I had a meniscus tear in my knee and that seemed to be the turning point.  I never was better after that and that is when the weight started to pile on even more up to over 300 lbs.  I eventually had knee replacement surgery but then lost my job and so more weight until I was at a point where just doing the simple things were a burden.  That is when I realized I had to do something more drastic as previous weight loss attempts through WW just, etc.  didn't work, I was always yo yo ing.  So now I want to move on with my life, start walking and once again would like to travel.
