Day 12 pre-op...

Mar 07, 2009

I made it through the two weeks of pre-op diet at work.  Experience two episoids of cold sweats and nasua at the end of the week.  Wednesday I left work early and Thursday the episoid did not last long.  I read somewhere the sense of smell intensifies after surgery.  My sense of smell has intensified during the pre-op stage.  I smell everything - from dirty laundry to the wonderful aroma of food.  This afternoon I am going for a massage.  I figured it will help me be even more relaxed.  The next 36 hours will be very interesting in regards to my hunger but at home and not at work.   I have cream cereal and a blender ready for next week and will be getting plan yogurt and cottage cheese tomorrow.  I am planning on making the pureed "frozen" cubes of taco beef, seasoned chicken, and beans too.

Will post again after surgery.  I go in God's Hands!!!

Day 10 of pre-op diet

Mar 04, 2009

Hi everyone.  Today is my first day on OH and my first blog.  With four days to go to my new birthday (surgery date), I am super excited;; is this how children feel Christmas Eve?  Last night I went to my first group meeting at Baptist.  I met several great supportive people including Freddie and Michael, both successful RNY's.  Thank you so much for your advise and encourgement.

I have not been extremely hungry on the pre-op diet until today.  However, the lack of energy and the inability to concentrate is killing me.  Any suggestions would be great.  My husband just finished cooking his dinner and it smelled so good.  He asked what he could make that would not affect me and I just said I would eat Brussel Sprouts (most disliked veggie) right now I am so hungry.

That is all for now, more later.
