it's been a long road that i have traveled on... it seems like years that i have waited to get this surgery! i was signed up for this surgery like 10 years ago and was booted because the surgeon no longer took my insurance after being on a waiting list. then after being discouraged i decided to give it a go again about a year and 1/2 ago. i am so glad i did too! even though it seems like i had to jump through some hoops to get this done it is finally happening. i have a date.. i am on the optifast for like the 3rd week now going on the fourth. yuk. the first week i dropped 13 lbs... not too sure about this weigh in... i dont see the difference like the first time... still i feel better / i have more energy it seems... still have lots to do for this surgery... lots of classes to go through and a few more test!!!! but i am counting down... my mom died basically from being overweight and i knew that i didnt want that to be me. she died when i was only 19! i was so young. i have 3 boys. 2 teens and my youngest is 12. i want to be here til im 100 lol.... i want to be a grandma... possibly a great-grandma for them. so let's get this surgery started already... enough of the aches and pains and the bad health. i want to feel good. and i want to feel good about myself!!!! period! i was up to almost 400 lbs. 389lbs.... im down to 353lbs now .... i have state insurance which is super hard to get them to approve of anything -buckeye! blah.... but keep working at it and dont give up!!!!! any questions about it let me know i will answer them!!! -jayne :-)
