Hello, I will start by saying that I have been looking into this surgery for many years now.
I had a friend that had it in I think 2000. I went through the process with her at that time I was not to sure this was something that I would want to do for myself.
As I did more research on it I decided that if I had the kind of insurance that would cover it, I think I would have it. But many years went by before the opportunity would arise for me to even consider it.
In October of 2007, I begun to work for a hospital that covered the surgery, I could not belive it. And as you would know on December 31st of that same year the hospital would change the insurance from Principle to Humana, and at that time no one was sure if Humana would cover the same thing that princple did. But I beleive that all things work togather, and thank God they did offer pretty much the same coverage as Principle.
In a mater of 2 months, I had all of my appointments, and an approval date. Unfortunaly I was not able to have it on the initial date due to me not having enough time to take off to have it done.
I then had to reschedule, and wait almost another 2 months. As discouraged as I was, I realized all things happen for a reason, even though we may not understand, it allways works out in the end.
So now I await my BIG DAY WHICH IS 06/25/08.
