I had my surgery today at 9:30 a.m. and we were home by 4 p.m. - WOW what a day!!! I am still in some pain, but not as bad as I was expecting. Hopefully sleeping goes well since I am pretty tired. I can't believe it is over and I am home and resting. Wish me luck that I am able to get in all of my fluids!! Thanks everyone for cheering me on.
Approval letter from my insurance!!

I received my letter in the mail today from my insurance - and yes it was good news!!! They approved my surgery and I am all ready except for getting the house in order and Christmas decorations up!! YEAH!! That is all I can say!
I got a date!!!

I can't believe it - I finally got a date. December 5th!! They wanted to know if I wanted it 3 days before Turkey Day and I said "will I be able to go shopping on Friday?" So we decided to go for the next week Friday - hopefully the weekend is some good recovery time.
Cleared by the psychiatrist for surgery!

I am so excited it is finally happening!! I have been given the ok by the pshychiatrist! Now it is just waiting for the insurance company's approval.

I am pretty nervous because I meet with the psych again tomorrow! I am really hoping I am good to go to the next level now. I have really been working on my eating habits. I have upped my protein and lowered the carbs!! Oh yeah and WATER WATER WATER!!!! Wish me luck!!
Frustrated!!

So on Friday I attended my second psychologist appt - and here to find out I was not cleared for surgery yet. He stated that I needed to up my water and protein intake, and lower my carb intake. I was pretty frustrated because I have quit drinking soda and snacking since I saw him a month ago. I thought I was doing really good. So a little frustrating to hear. I am really worried about what food stage I will be at for Thanksgiving or christmas ( I am not going to share my surgery news with all of mine and my husband's extended family) so I want to be able to pass it off somehow.
