"I found Dr. Gladen to be friendly and very concerned about the importance of being healthy. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions without hesitation. He was very relaxed and informal, which made the consult comfortable for me. He looks at you not around you when talking. He is a well respected surgeon, who also teaches others how to perform the surgery. He is the only Dr. in California who will accept Medical patients, I personally am not on Medical but I think its great that he does this for medical patients. I think that says alot about his character as a person. He is also the head of the trauma center, he knows his stuff. He has perfromed over 1000 surgeries, he does not do Lap. It is still considered experimental so he doesnt want to chance it, until he has enough facts to support the findings of whether or not it works affectively. Which I find comforting, knowing that he values the lives of his patients more, and that he is not willing to do a surgery just because its the IN thing to do. He was very confident and friendly I had a great impression.
Had my surgery 4-27-01 everything went well he did agreat job not cutting me up. My incision is only 2 1/2 inches and has already healed in less than 2weeks. I lost 18# in the first 10 days I have already lost 15% of my body weight. yeahhhh Gladen was awesome and so were all of his assistants. I would recommend him anyday. Especially Scott who is a doll."
