Well April 5th 2009 has been by far the worst day of my life,my mom lost her battle with cancer.She had been suffering for awhile,and couldnt take anymore.Her heart just stopped working,she died at home with all our family present,My dad was in shock sunday,Monday was a very hard day,he is 79 and is in the forgetful stage.He had been with her for 54 years and is trying very hard to go on.
The viewing held over 250 people,the funeral 75..I was doing fine until the funeral director and family friend asked my 6 yr old son to push the casket to the back of the church,after witnessing that,there wasn't a dry eye in the church,my mom would have been so proud of him,he did such a great job.
Thru all of this,and on my stage 3 diet, altho not uncommon(and a bit of stress and nerves on my part)EVERYTHING that I put in my mouth I throw up,then I went back to jello,did that work......no...you know its bad when you even throw up water.The ONLY thing that stays down is light baby bell cheese....go figure,but hey, it's something!!
My doc prescribed a nausea medicine for me,I havent filled it yet..I want to see if I can keep anything down,now that some things have calmed down.
In this whole process I have lost a total of 58 lbs in 2 months,Im now on stage 4 forever diet(lol) and don't go back to see doc for 3 month(1 day before my july b-day,in fact)Altho I do have a checkup with surgeon April 24th!
Every nurse that came to the house,my mom would say tell them how much you lost,lol...before they even knew my name,she was so proud of me...I know she still is,I had a moment when I found out my weight loss ,I cried,because she was the one I rushed home to, excitedly tell her of my "big loss"!!I miss her so much,Ive been caring for her,since the first cancer hit in 2006,altho I still have my dad,son and husband to care for, I just miss my mom!!
That is how my April has been so far...How has yours been???
