"I can't say enough good things about the Barix staff. I never had to wait for pain meds and was treated wonderfully by the nurses and aides on the post surgical floor. Everyone was wonderful....respiratory, radiology, pharmacy....everyone. I would recommend Barix to anyone wanting this surgery. "
"My first impression of Dr. Brader was a good one. What I liked best about him was that he never once made me feel rushed and I was full of questions that I'm sure he's heard hundreds of times. He was confident yet humble and gave me an honest overview of the procedure and it's results as well as the importance of aftercare. The office staff was adequate though I'm not sure the receptionist should be in the middle of the waiting room as it didn't offer much privacy if it was needed. I have read good feedback on this website and was pleased with my consultation. After our meeting, my husband and I met with a patient counselor. She was a patient of Barix as well and it was nice to be able to ask any question I wanted of her and she was open and honest about her personal experience with post op life."
"I have been with my primary care physician for many years. When I first expressed an interest in bariatric surgery, he actually offered to put me in touch with one of his patients who had just been through it. I was able to speak with this other patient at length and ask lots of questions. It was very helpful. Dr. D has been totally supportive with all of my preop testing referrals and letters and reports. It makes it a lot easier."
"I was pleased with Dr. Mahan. He was extrememly thorough in his preop clearance letter and ordered a sleep study just to be safe even without any symptoms of apnea. I was happy with the sleep lab at St. Mary Medical Center as well. They were just great and I didn't feel awkward about any of it. They explained everything in full and made me feel comfortable."
