Well I have been interested in getting a gastric bypass for four years. Between being in school and having insurance that would not cover it I have been unable to get the procedure until this year. I graduated from nursing school and I got a job with the federal government and thought the grace of god they cover the procedure. I was also fortunate that it took only a couple months to get my surgery date.
My surgery date was 8-20-08 by Dr. Emma Patterson and Dr Smith her fellow. I spent two night at Good Sam a hospital in Portland< OR. The staff at the hospital was really nice.
