Hay everyone! I’m alive! Let me explain what I had. The surgery is called, Gastric Laparoscopic Band Surgery (AKA Lap-Band.) This is when a rubber band like device is placed around the top part of the stomach. The band is connected to a tube (port) that leads to the side of the body (not outside the body.) In two weeks I go back to have the port slightly filled with cilacone/caleen. This fills the band and makes a part of my stomach smaller. This is Weight loss surgery (WLS), but is not, and I stress, is not! A plastic surgery. WLS is a last resort for those like myself. Those that have disorders that stop the metabolic system (weather your body properly digest food) all together. Tuesday morning was very crazy. I was scared so much that I couldn’t move. My mom was with me and she was great through out the whole thing. I went into surgery at 7:30 and came out at 9:15. I laid in recovery for about 3 hours, but in that time I listened to my I-Pod. Which holds about 87 songs. I had my stuffed dog lay across my belly. It helps when I sleep at night. I have no clue why. While I was in the hospital my pain didn’t get much higher the 7/8. (Which means painful but not so painful you want to die.) My nurses made sure I had pain meds every few hours. Today my pain is about a 5/6 (when meds where off.) I’ve been walking around easily and drinking foods like. Crystal lite, broth, jello, tea (decaf), and protein shakes. I’m on this for a few days then I can start eating some real food. Thank you all for your concern. I was surpriced to come back and see this. I’m hurting just sitting here and typing, but knew I had to pop up on here a minute. THANK YOU!

I'm scared as heck!  I'm going in tomorrow and well...i hope it goes all right.  I trust my doctor its me i don't trust.  I hope i lost the weight.
