So I weighed myself today, I am down 100lbs.  I will be 4 months post op on 9/19 so this is very surprising.
Still such a long long way to go I still see myself as being so fat.  I am so flabby too!

Hi all, today is my one month surgiversary.  I have just finished uploading some comparison pics.  The right side was taken on the day of my surgery and the left was taken today...one month later.

As each day goes by I am feeling much better.  I cant seem to get over my tiredness after a little activity.  I cant wait till that goes away.  I still have some tenderness when I try to sleep on my stomach as well.  Not sure what that is all about. 

At least once a day my youngest son asks me if I regret having the surgery, and so far my answer has always been no.  I am not hungry, like I used to be and i can honestly say that I am SUPER DUPER SUPRISED to see how much I can eat.  I have serious cravings for soda, I will admit to taking tiny sips here and then but again to my surprise, sodas are so sweet for me.  I can hardly tolerate things with splenda as well as it seems too sweet for me. 

I bout Vitamin water zero last night, I think I really like it.  Plain water is too painful for me to drink.

People see me and say that they can tell I am loosing, and although I see the pics and saw the scale, I can honestly say that I dont see what they are seeing when I look in the mirror.  Not sure when that goes away.

I go back to see my DR in 3 months.  I will not be weighing myself till then.  I dont want to get caught up in the number mind games.  I will be posting my measurements in a few as well, and plan on keeping it up each month.

Hello Everyone, I am 4 days from the date of my surgery.  I got so much advice from so many people so now I can honestly say thanks to everyone, however EVERYONES body is different.

I was in so much discomfort after my surgery, I couldnt even sip water.  I am ok now but still can only take in approximately 2=3 ozs of liquid.  Just before my surgery I was on a sensible diet for 1 week...protein shake for breakfast and one for lunch and a sensible dinner.  The week before, I was on Protein Shakes Only for one week.  Needless to say I was STARVING when I went in for my surgery.  The surgery itself was to take only 1.5-2 hrs, however mine took 3.  They say I was a bleeder.

I could not give Innova Hospital and their staff enough cudos, they were AWESOME, I truly enjoyed my stay there.  I highly recommend their facility.

I am supposed to dring 48oz of fluid a day...this includes my protein my water my crystal lights...blah blah blah.  I am having a hard time doing so, but will do my best. 

I have the worst feeling in my chest area beneath my throat..not sure what it is feels like I need to burp but it wont go away and trust me I am burping.

I am still very sore and parts of my incisions burn really bad.  I am able to get around with no assistance which is a good thing.  I cannot bend down but am working on it.

I am still very tired all the time, I hope my energy level improves.

I am not going to weigh myself until my appointment in 2 weeks...I dont want to get caught up in all that, I will take my measurements today as well.

So I received a call on Friday.  To my shegrin...it was the DR's office.  They were calling to tell me that I was APPROVED, APPROVED, APPROVED.   I cant tell you how that made me feel, nervous, excited and anxious all rolled up into one emotion.   I received another call about 1hr after the first call, it was the schedulers wanting to schedule my surgery.  They said they could do it on 5/12 I was like whoa whoa whoa....Im anxious and all but OMG that was super fast. I set the surgery for 5/19.  I go see the DR on 5/13 to have all my blood work done and xrays and all that good stuff.  I start my diet on Monday...yes tomorrow.  WTH I have been eating like you would not believe.  After tonight I am done done done.  Am I ready, yes I have been ready for over a year now.  You have no idea. 

I will be on a 2 protein shake and sensible dinner diet until Friday.  On Saturday no more sensible dinners.  I will be on protein only.  Protein Protein Protein. 

I bought a big ole jar of protein, I bought 2 bottles of ISOPURE...not sure what else I need.  I guess I will find out.

I finally went to a seminar.  I have my first real appointment on Wednesday.  I am hoping that I dont run in to too many obstacles.  I get really impatient real fast.  Discourgement and Impatientness (if thats a word) go hand in hand for me.  I am not sure what to expect...actually I do.  My sis in law has told me about her journey, I guess deep down I am expecting mine to be quicker with no bumps along the road.

I have BCBS of Illinois PPO, I am hoping that they say give it to her she needs it, and by the time my Christmas Party rolls around I can show up in something amazing and look great!

I am interested in having the surgery...I have been interested in a very long time.  I had a dr tell me that I was morbidly obese about 3-4 years ago, I went to a seminar then lost my job shortly after that.  I have a sister in law who had the surgery and is going to help me try to get things started.  I have tried other diets and can do them but I always end up right back where I started and then some...

I live in San Antonio, TX  if anyone is out there who can offer some good advice...who to see where to go I would really appreciate it.  I hear I need to be patient....UGHHH I am not good at that, I guess I can just sit and wait I've been fat all my life why not a few more months.
