A LIL ABOUT ME::: Im 21 YR OLD Female. I have struggled with my weight for as long as i can even remember. I believe i was 8 yrs old when i started getting that chub. Everyone said it was baby fat and would go away. Nope that didnt happen i was size 14-16 by the time i was 14 and size 18 when i was 17. I gradually creeped up to size 20 I went on the atkins diet and in 2 months went from 265-247lbs i was in a size 16-18 again... then that month i found out i was pregnant!! I was excited but i knew i had to stop the atkins diet! in SEPT when i delivered i was back up and beyond to 277lbs... From then until may 02 i fluxuated from 277-255 back and forth and in may i was 255 and was pregnant AGAIN.... I Was so scared to cross over to 300 and i was petrified this pregnancy woudl do that....the first few months i actually lost 25lbs but the doctors said that was dangerous so i went from 240 to 285 when i delived so close to 300...after my daughter was born i went on another yo-yo diet and flux beween 285-265 and then finally made the decision to get rid of it once and for all. AND Here I AM!!!
I have Just Started the Process My First appt with Dr singh is MArch 23rd and im having my Physc and dietician all before that appt... My ins does cover this as a benefit but there s still that chance they deny me...Oh GOD I HOPE NOT!!!
3/16/04 I met with Mrs Swanko the dietican today and she explained all about what i should expect as far as the diet portion.
3/18/04 Today was my PHSYC EVALUATION!!! With BEA FLYNN...It went overall pretty well.... I was a lil depressed today about some at home issues and was afraid that woudl interfer but it didnt she gave me the referal

I had my DR appt todady. Dr singh said that i was a good canidate for LAP RNY Gastric Bypass... He antisipated a quick apporval process for me.. We shall see,......
4/9/04 Dr Singh's office (CAROL) submitted my pre-auth approval today its supposed to take no longer than 1 month so hopefull ill be in surgery in end of MAY
4/16/04 ARGH Insurance companies are a pain!!! They said that my employer has a pre-exisiting condition clause in the policy and that i have to submit more info and fight the clause... I AM NOT GIVING UP!!!!!
4/29/04 They have requested more information 2003-2004 office records from my primary care physcian, however i was not seeing him in 2003.. so we sent them 2004 records again and let them know that 2003 does not exist.
5/10/04 ARGH!!!! Once again they want those darn 2003-2004 records that dont exist.... I have to send 2004 again and a letter saying the 2003 dont exist
5/25/04 WHEN ARE THEY GONNA UNDERSTAND THAT 2003 office records dont exist from DR Bombach i was not his patient!!!! Once again,,,,this is getting very FRUSTRATING!!!!!
6/7/04 OMG THIS IS NUTS!!!!!! OK im gonna get my medical records from the time i was 10 and fax them over and have DR BOMBACH write another letter explaining from point A-B that i was not his patent untill 3-2004 and NO RECORDS EXIST from him and i hope once and for all this will be resolved... im not giving up but i have my WORRIES!!!!
6/10/04 I CALL EVERY DAY AND ITS STLL IN REVIEW! Im trying to keep up my hopes but im so scared!! I want this sooo bad

6/22/04 HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called once again this morning and as of yesterday afternoon it was APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS SOOO AWESOME!!! IM DOING THE CRAZIEST HAPPY DANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY DATE IS JULY 19th 7:45 am!!! I have a couple more Dr ppts to do before the surgery but im READY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6/24/04 Today i had my PRE-OP with DR SINGH He told me i needed to stop taking my birth control pills because they can cause blood clots!!! that makes me nervous i have always been fertal mertal!! I DONT WANT TO SOUND SELFISH BUT THE LAST THING I NEED IS TO GET PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... SO NO SEX FOR ME!!!!! THIS SURGERy IS MORE IMPT!!!!
6/28/04 I'm just taking it day by day till surgery! Iam excited and scared to death all in one.. I want this re-birth more than anything but also fear alot... However Im going to keep reminding myself of the JOY ill feel when im on the loosers side... 21 days to go!!!
6/30/04 6 days till all my pre-op testing! i cant believe i have come this far.. I was watching a video online today about carnie wilson (WILSON PHILLIPS) and the whole surgery was on the net it was soo neat..
7/6/04 Today was my pre-op testing..it went well they were very thorough..results she be in in a few days.. the EKG was GREAT they said...so far so good im just keeping my fingers crossed that there are no road blocks...wow there is so much on my mind its so weird to even think of me having the chance to look good feel good about myself and have more energy and be healthy!! and i bet in a year from now ill be able to do thing I NEVER THOUGHT I COULD!! :)
7/10/04 Wow i can not believe its only nine more days.....whoo ..i had my pre op testing last tuesday i should get the word on monday for final clearance.. to my knowledge everything went well ,.,i know the ekg did....cross my fingers for no setbacks and on monday is my final pre op teraching class... friday is my last day of work before i go on leave...wow i still cant believe it really happening....this is amazing...
7/11/04 Wow this is crazy ... i only have 7 more days to my RE BIRTH. I still cant believe its actually happening!!!! I am goign through many stages of emotions...its weird!!! i cant explain it...im so excited but sooo scared.... the one week count down begins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7/12/04 Today I had my preop teaching class.. It was very informative... 6 Days and counting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7/14/04 5 days and counting!!!!Whohoo... wow daily its feels more and more REAL...but i know me its not gott HIT ME till Monday and then im gonna be crying all over the place...not sad crying but crying because ITS FINALLY HERE ....this is awesome...somehting is finally gonna go great for me :-)
7/18/04 Welp in 5 hrs ill be heading to the hospital .. I cant believe its almost hear....Im so EXCITED yet SOOOO nervous at the same time. I have done lots of research and chose a Good Dr SINGH and Hosp ST AGNES ...so im sure everythign will be fine..;.but im still nervous...but as soon as im feeling up to it ill post again.
7/24/04I am 5 days post op and there have not been any major complications...The recovery pain is a lil more intense than iexpected. (mainily the gas im trying to get out)...also i have had no Bowel movememnt amd wanted to know how long it took every one else.. Also i have no appetite at all so i make myself eat in order to get the proper nutrients.....proteine is sooo hard to get in ....thank you soo much 5 days postop and im down 12lbs WAHOOO cant wait to see you all here on the loosing side
7/29/04 Today I had my postop appointment and was yelled at ...They said im not eating nearly enough.. I've never been told that ever my whole life..im kinda bummed because i thought i was doing good. they said my protein was not Good At all... so im gonna do BETTER!!!!
7/31/04 My Dr. Visit got me on track i am faithfull drinking my protein drimk 2 a day and there 23 grams of protein each ..... i have another appt 8/12/04 and i hope to have lost 30lbs by 1 month...i dont know whats realistic..
8/12/04 Went to the doctors today and he says im doing great!! im gettign enough protein and my weight loss is wonderful im down 26lbs!!! in 3 weeks... i can really see it too!!! Next appt in September ill be excited to see the loss then!!!!
8/19/04 WAHOOO im down 30lbs as of today..this is awesome i met my first goal for my self..my second is i want to loose a total of 55 by the end of month 2
8/24/04 Wow another 5 lbs im down total 35.... i can really see the difference!!!
8/30/04 Wow im down to 261 total 38 lbs down! this is awesome... BMI 44.8
9/4/04 HOOREAY i hit 259 loss of 40lbs in 6 weeks yipee
9/19/04 WOW Im DOwn 52lbs in 2 months i feel so great... at times i fell like im not loosing enough but when i see the overall total #'s its amazing ...this is the best thing i could have done
10/19/04 Every day that goes by i am so thankfull that i have been given this wonderfull tool to use in my life to overcome my biggest opstical.. my BMI has gone from 51.3 to 39.7 i have gone 2 catagories i went from super obese to morbid obese now im severly obese... 2 more catagories and ill only be overweight!! im sooo excited
11/01 I have been on a platue for two weeks VERY VERY frustrating!! flux between 230 231 230 231 ARGH!!! BUt Sunday morning i broke it FINALLY 228 WAHOO!!! and this morning 227 ANd i cant believe it i put my whole body in the one pant leg of my size 26 biggest jeans!! it was SOOOO AWESOME!
11/02 Wahoo loose again down to 225 almost in the 100's
11/05 Wahoo Down again 223 Im getting so close !!! Ive lost 13pt of my BMI thats so awesome
11/10/04 for the past 3 days the scales goes 223 225 223 225 but today it is 220! Wahoo!!!!!! this is so amazing i can not stress how happy i am!!! LIFE IS GRAND!!
11-12-04 Welp the scale is back to teter totteing 223-224 223-224 what the heck happend to the 220.... this is frusterating i hate plateus

11-16-04 219 NOW... ONLY 20 MORE TO GO TO BE 199!!! THIS IS AWESOME! NOT EVEN 4 MONTHS AND IM DOWN 80 LBS!!!

11-21-04 Wow today was pretty exciting..my step father has a size 38 waiste and im not sure what prompted the conversation but he said something like i bet you cant fit into my pants and i was like i bet i can ( i knew i could get in a 36 mens) he bet me 5 dollars and i came down stairs and i had room to spare...It was sooo funny...because he says if you can fit in my pants im going on a diet! i was like jeesh thanks he said no i just mean i didnt realize i was as big as i am. i thought it was soo funny and it made me feel good!
11-24-04 Argh i have been sooo sick with strept throat and tonsilitits....but the weight still coming off ....which is always a good thing!!
12-19-04 Well as of today i have lost 82 lbs WAHOO im well on my way
12-28-04 Im almost under 200 im at 202 WAHOO!!!!! down 97 lbs!! in size 14 i can squeese into some 12's LOL but there TIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
01/09/05 I thought i was going to be stuck at 202 forever but as of this morning im 199!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 wahoo UNDER THE 200'S IN THE onedeRFUlls!!!!!!!!!!!! AND HIT THE CENTURY MARK 100 LBS LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!
02/16/05 Well i have been on an aweful platuea but i finally broke it im 191 an fit nicely in most 12's in fact i went and tried on a 10 i got them on buttoned and just couldnt get them zipped ! ITS AWESOME
07/02/05 Wow i have not updated my file in such a long time! Sorry guys. I have been soo busy. I can say that This surgery was the best thing in the world i could have ever done. It has mad me a better person all the way arround. Jessica has come ooutof her shell! :-) I love the new me and more excietment is only yet to come. I have my Panniculectomy (stomach/fat/skin Removal) scheduled for Sept 21st. I am also getting a breast augmentation and implant. i have lost all of my boobs :-) lol. Went from a 46DD to 34B! I just want to say to everyone reading this if your journey is just about to begin, "I'll see you on the loosing side" and if your already there "KEEP IT UP" :-) I love you all for your constent support! Ill post some new pics real soon.
07/11/05 Well This week has been so stressfull however it helped me break a plateu im down to 175 wahoo and after all this skin is removed ill be flying high :-) im in a size 12 right now so im thinking a 9/10 after recovery cant even imagine that
