i am going crazy looking at all the profiles and waiting to here from the surgeon . This is going to be the longest  2 weeks of my life. My pcp wants me to go ahead and have a sleep study done . so i do that on Nov. 5th. I wish this month would hurry up and be over already.

 

well i found a wonderful pcp this week and he sent a referral to doctor oliphants office in champaign. i filled out the packet and sent it in . they said it would be about  3 weeks before i hear anything boy is it going to be a long 3 weeks. anyway my pcp thought i would be a better candidate for gastric by-pass rether than lap-band due to my severe gerd.  Hope fully dr oliphants office consider me a good candidate. we will see

well i have finally found a surgeon who takes illinois medicaid and i go to my info session oct 17 my husband and i will be boarding a train for a 4 hr train ride to chicago !!!!!!! wish me luck. this surgeon only does lap band but i did find one other surgeon who is sending me a packet on RNY. he is closer to home . but if there is a  long waiting list i dont want to miss out on this oppertunity . i dont know i amm so desperate. and after 5 years of research i am more confused now than than. plus my family is divided half of them say go for it. and the other half freaked out,telling me i had the will power to do this on my own and how dangerous and selfish i was being. but of course there not carring aroun 340 lbs so they dont understand how much pain im in. they think im taking the easy way out. well with all the research i have done major surgery dont seem easy to me.  plus my cousin had wls and almost died 6 months later from an obstructed bowel. but everyones different right ......god help me i am so confused.
