"Dr. Sawyna was very direct and to the point, almost a tad abrupt. He first talked about the risks involved in great detail and then all the benefits. He took all the time in the world to answer my questions and my mother's questions (she went with me). His office staff was great. They were the first ones I spoke with on the phone that actually talked to me instead of pointing out how long the waiting list was. He had to look at my belly to see if he could do the surgery laproscopic and when he did he told me I was a little person inside. I almost cried. He performs surgery at Scared Heart Hospital in Allentown which has a very structured bypass program that includes nutritionists, social workers, personal trainers, and everything could possibly need.
its now been a little over a year since my surgery and Dr Sawyna is still great. He saw my about 3 times right after sugery, once for an emergency, and then at 9 months. He said I was right on tract and doing great. Hes got wonderful bedside manner for a surgeon (worked with a bunch!) and an excellent surgeon at that. He can get a little flaky sometimes but hes still really great at what he does. I would recommend anyone go to him!!"
