Let The Journey Begin
Jul 12, 2008
Well, let's get all the normal introduction stuff done. I've been overweight pretty much all my life. I remember being 8 years old and having to buy clothes in the husky section of Sears. I've never been "the average weight" Well that's all about to change.
On April 1st I started an amazing new job working from home for a software company. I was sitting at my desk on April 2nd and wondered if my new medical benefits (which started on day 1) would cover Gastric Bypass surgery. I spent several years looking into the surgery but unfortunately all my past employers had an exclusion in there insurance plan. So i called United Healthcare and asked if they covered Gastric bypass and they said they did as long as it was deemed medically necessary. I called my Primary doctor and he said he would recommend the surgery. I did some research online and found an amazing center called Faifield Country Bariatrics Center. They are amazing. Here is a timeline of all the events that followed.
May 5th - Introduction Seminar
May 12th - First Appointment with Doctor Floch
