Update

I didn't realize how long it's been since I've been on OH.  Lots has happened.  The bad news is that my grandma passed away 3 days after Thanksgiving.  Her funeral was scheduled for the day of my first life skills class.  As a result, my surgery date was pushed back to 2/15/10. Nothing I could do about it...my grandma's funeral was on 12/3 and my first life skills class was on 12/3.  There was no way I wasn't going to say goodbye to my grandma.  I was a bit upset by the way Denise @ PMRI handled the call. I told her that I had a death in the family and I didn't get so much as a "sorry to hear that".  it was like she thought I just decided to blow off the class and that I was lying about my grandma dying.  I'm over it now, but I think Denise may want to work on her people skills.

Anyway...I'm slowly closing in on my date and I'm getting nervous and excited for what the future holds (I mean besides pureed foods and lots and lots of protein).  I'm looking forward to turning the corner to better health.
