2 days post op

So I am two days post op and home. Everything went well for the most part. Getting the IV in was the hardest because you cant drink anything. They ended up taking me back to the operating room and giving me laughing gas before they finally got one in. The next thing I remember is waking up in so much pain and apparently I was in recovery longer than normal. I slept through most of the first day but did get up and walk and do my breathing. The pain pump was my best friend during the next 24 hours. I was taken off of it the next morning and given lortab which lasted longer and tastes disgusting. Yesterday went by with no problems. I was just super sore. Once they took the drain out though I felt a little better. The pain is bearable and walking definitely makes me feel so much better. I was told I did great and can not wait for the results. I will not be stepping on a scale for awhile only because most people gain weight from all the fluids they give you in the hospital. I'm just excited to see some results and to be home.
