Monday UGH

Sep 23, 2007

Back to the gym today - although before I went, I stepped on the scale... 23 pounds gone forever! Yayyyy! Made my trip much more pleasant!

Back

Sep 22, 2007

So I have lost a total of 21 pounds - normally anyone would be thrilled to death, I however have so much more to lose that this is merely a stepping stone. I have done good - gotta keep it up! I have been going to the gym in the AM (6 to be exact - painful!!!!) But it will be worth it when I can shop in normal shops!

One more pound

Aug 31, 2007

So the scale has been sort of stuck at 15 pounds - I was ready to buy another one and get a second opinion - but today down one more - total 16 - I was begining to think all my workouts and starvation wasn't paying off - sort of nervous - the hubby and I are off to Ocean City for the week - we are staying at the beach house - which normally wouldn't make me nervous - but I am so scared of eating - I would rather skip it all together, and avoid the consequences! I may not post till next week - so for all you readers... stay tuned!

The Gym

Aug 29, 2007

So its 3 weeks and I have lost a total of 15 pounds - I am psyched. Yesterday I joined a gym. Normally I don't really mind the gym - it's just going that sort of bugs me. This one has a daycare which is great. I dropped the twins off - and although one cried throughout the workout - it uplifting. Now I don't have to wait for the hubby to get home - I just go throughout the day. I am about to go now - so I better get moving.

Consistency

Aug 25, 2007

Yesterday - I went back on track - followed my diet to a tee - today same thing - its almost 2 o'clock and still haven't had lunch. Not hungry - wow - who knew... I think most of the time I ate because it was time - or because I was suppose to - but I might not have gotten this fat had I eaten when I was truely hungry. Went to a concert last night - wanted to jump on stage with all the other skinny girls - but then I remembered - NOT SKINNY YET - keyword YET. That is now a new goal - be skinny enough to jump on stage and not worry about breaking anything while getting escorted off - LOL

Went to the Doctor...

Aug 23, 2007

Went yesterday for my first post-op visit - to my surprise I was down 13 pounds in only 16 days! I was so happy! The doctor said everything was healing fine and I would be getting my first fill in a month. Here is where the problem comes in... how did I celebrate? I went to EAT! Granted that is what I have always done - when a good occasion comes up you celebrate. Well, I ate! I ate alot! And now I feel horrible - what was I thinking? The worst part was I didn't even have the "full" feeling! I need to stop sabataging myself! I take one step forward and three back! I am back on track today!

Post OP

Aug 21, 2007

Well, it's two weeks and one day - and I have lost 9 pounds. I feel so much better - I have to admit the first week was NOT fun at all. I was very sore, I don't know if that is from the lap-band or if it was from the hernia operation that was unexpected. Either way, I am on my way. Its funny... my first trip to the grocery store post op was quite different. I use to look forward to going to Shop Rite - and now it was as if I was an alien on a different planet. I couldn't eat any of that stuff - BUT IT WAS OK. I started what most people would call "food" - and its going down well. I feel full much quicker than I even thought I would. I don't look forward to eating anymore. It has become something that I almost forget to do. I don't feel hungry so I actually have to remind myself to eat (WEIRD)! None the less, changes are showing and I am so happy. I can't wait to go shopping in about a month and see if I am actually fitting into something smaller.
