Hi John, I am only 5-weeks out and having problems too!!! I thought I would share what does work for me... non fat cottage cheese, soft low fat string cheese, dannon makes a light yogurt sugar free and fat free. I did make chicken and dumplings for the family the other night and I had chicken for the first time with the broth only.... no dumplings... and it went down ok... but I HAVE to eat it with the broth...I also started drinking herb teas to get all my water in.. but make sure they are cafine free.... hope this helps...

Hi John..i agree that worrying about staying hydrated is more important at first, soon enough you will find something that you like and works for you, we all do! think positive.

You may have to heal a bit before doing protein drinks. I couldn't even do plain water at first. Just stay hydrated and walking. Most post-ops don't even worry about protein the first months or so. Eventually start adding them in and maybe you'll do better with them. Good luck to you.

In all things Remember, that the one above loves you, that He holds us all in his loving arms,He knows each of us by name.He said anything you ask for in "my name" will be given to you.So in His name I pray for you, that you be given strength, endurance, love, peace and most of all long life.In Jesus' name. When you wake up and see the faces of your loved ones in the recovery room, know that you have made it.Thank Him,Know that you have been blessed to see and to live out the rest of your days with the ones you love and the ones who love you.....Knowing that He loves you too. Happy soon to be ReBirthday.
