Hi Everyone, I am Josey and I have never joined a website like this. I have decided to have surgery and I am looking for as many tools out there to help me be successful. I stumbled upon this site and I liked what I saw; everyone is very supportive. I have been big my whole life. I was always called "big-boned" growing up. Then once I graduated high school my metabolism basically came to a halt. I have longed for many years to be skinny; I am constantly dieting and trying new things. The only problem is nothing works; I lose the weight only for it to return and then some. I have finally accepted and realized that I need help and WLS is a tool that I can use and succeed with. I am a patient of St. Paul Surgeons and hope to be approved sometime this fall. I had my first child last year; Lily and she will be 1-year old August 16, 2010. I want to be healthy and fit so I can enjoy many years to come with her and be able to participate in life with her; rather than watching from the sidelines. Thanks for listening!
