2 years out and all's well !
Mar 30, 2007
Well, am 2 years out from surgery and everything is going great. Have settled into a comfortable weight that moves around in a ten pound window which is also ok! The energy and stamina I have these days is amazing! I go for a 3 mile walk just to pass the time of day! I never feel tired and my cannot remember the last time my knees hurt. All in all this surgery was a godsend for me. In the process I have managed to bring my son into the fold and he lost 40 pounds and now knows how to eat properly and excersize . Hopefully I have saved him the fate I had and he will never need this surgery..
So nice to look forward to ever new day! Thank You to all that have helped me get to where I am today! Take Care,
Julio

January is almost over and "Winter" has begun

Well, it has finally gotten cold out. Gotta give "Mother Nature" a big "Atta Girl" for giving us all those extra weeks of mild weather! Now just doing my best at getting through those "Post Holiday" slow days. Between the guilt of over indulging during the holidays and just trying to go "Grazing" on those cold, stuck in the house days. Can get pretty tough at times. We must remember to take it "One Day at a time!" Beating ourselves up over little slip ups just drives us deeper into dispair . Thats the last thing we need when we slip up! Just dust yourself off and try again. None of us are without "sin" and we all remember that the only people taking score that matter is "Ourselves"! So Best of luck and Lets look forward to spring and work at looking "Hot" for the summer fun ahead! Take Care,

Week 3 Post op Tummy Tuck
Dec 10, 2006
Well I'm a little over 3 weeks post op on my "Tummy Tuck" and I must say I am at about 85%. Stil a little numb around my abs but feeling pretty good. Had my drains removed at 2 weeks post op and it felt so good being without them. Heading back to work starting Monday the 11th. Will have to be careful about lifting things that are too heavy but feel great other wise. All in all wasn't nearly as painful as I thought it would be and would reccomend my surgeon to anybody wholeheartedly. Dr. Jeff Aron's is a great guy and did an awsome job on me. Am very happy with the results. "The Journey Continues"

Getting in a bit of walking in every day to keep moving. Driving ok. The wound is healing up nicely as well. Has been a great experence all in all. My Doctor is the best and would reccomend him to anybody. Very nice guy that you can talk to like a normal person! A very big plus! Thats about it for now, "The Journey Continues"
"Tummy Tuck" tales

Well,Had my "Tummy Tuck" onthe 16th of Nonember. Have to say it wasn't nearly as Traumatic as it was described to me. The surgery took about 5 hours. They removed about 8 pounds of skin. Recovery was uneventful as well. Just an overnight stay at St. Rays in New Haven
Came home walking stooped over. Took about 4 days to get straight . The drains the install on bot sides of tummy to remove excess fluids are a major pain in the butt
need to be drained 3 times a day .Document the amoiut of fluids collected each time. On liquid diet first week back then slowly work to normal diet . need to get your fiber in as all "bearing down" wants to be kept to a minimum
First post op visit to doctor, 11/22/06. everything is healing nicely. Drains still draining so they stay in for now. doing a little walking for excersize. aside from that keeping calm. Found that sleeping on couch with pillows placed properly better than recliner. At least for me. tryig to stay on one level as stairs are to be kept to a minumum. Well thatsabout it for now! Hope Everyone has a good "Thanksgiving"!
