"Doctor Mailapur is the best! I went to the seminar and heard the detail on having the gastric sleeve. I jumped through all the insurance hoops to get approved. Finally had surgery on Monday May 11th at Huntsville Hospital. Didn't have a bit of trouble. There were some pains with the gas from surgery in recovery but nothing serious. Once that passed I have done great! There hasn't been much nausea at all. I have been on the liquid diet for the last 10 days. Have lost 16 lbs so far. I haven't really been hungry. My mind still sees and smells the good food but my "stomach" doesn't seem to chime in and say "yeah! Let's eat that!' So it has been easier to say no to food. As Dr. M told me; he has done his part, now I must do mine. I have to lose 108 lbs in the next 3 months to reach my target of 175. I can do it now with the tool and the help the surgery has given me.
