On Oct. 29th I had my first fill.  It was for 1cc.  I have so far since surgery lost 20 lbs.  On 11/5 I saw the nutritionist as well and I am now down 24 lbs since surgery.  I am down a total of 40 lbs since I started the process all together in July of this year. 

Well 10/12, I will have been out of surgery and living my new life with my lap band for almost a month.  There has been some up and downs with food tolerances (mostly if had to eat out with family/friends if out and about).  

So far, I am down 34 lbs since I started the pre op process and down 19 lbs since surgery.  

I have met some very negative people and comments post op of my "taking the easy way out".  However, you need to look past these and focus on your goals and not their negativity. 

Well, I had my surgery on 9/12 and was discharged home on 9/13.  Did well and was off pain meds after 4 days being home.  Learning Stage III now and what my body can't tolerate food wise just yet.  Glad to be off clear liquids.  I'm down 11lbs since a week before surgery.  Total is 24lbs down since I started the process.  (Had done 6lbs prior on my own before meeting with my surgeon).  I go on 10/29 for my first fill. 

I'm beyond excited at this point.  My lap band will be on 9/12 ...this Wednesday! 

I had my preop appt with the surgeon to sign consents and lab work.  I have a scheduled date of 9/12/07 and I'm very excited about it.  Since my last meeting with the surgeon I am down 12.5 lbs by exercising and following the diet the Nutritionist gave to me.  I am now doing the 2 week preop diet of the 3 protein shakes a day.  So far I find that Carnation doesn't keep me full long enough.  I find that HMR and EAS keep me fuller, so I have stocked up on those a lot. 

I met earlier today with Dr. Ashely Vernon at Brigham and Women's Hospital.  She is very knowledgeable and compassionate/empathetic towards weight loss surgery.  Her staff was very informative and helpful.  During my visit, I also met with a nutritionist and PA.  Both were also very knowledgeable and helpful.  I may have a surgery date as soon as September and I am very excited.  The only downfall is because of my line of work I may have to be out longer than 2 weeks because of the weight lifting restrictions.
