2 Year Anniversay

Sep 04, 2009

My how time flies!  I wish I could say I'm doing great and kept on losing, but that's not the case.  I've been busy cleaning and de-cluttering my house and working on new household habits and that is going well.  Now it's time to "clean up and de-clutter" myself!  I've not been good about watching what I eat/drink and haven't been exercising at all.  I've let my Curves membership lapse, so it's time to re-think an exercise routine or just get one started.  I'm going to set some baby-step goals for myself, so here goes.  No sugar or non-wheat carbs.  Exercise 3Xs in the next week.  I'll be back to follow-up next Friday.  Wish me luck!

My First Anniversary!

Aug 29, 2008

It's been one year since my surgery and I am feeling great!  I joined Curves three weeks ago to get some regular exercise and it helped me over the 100 pound weight loss mark.  I am planning on taking long walks with my friends on the weekends.  We walked 3.5 miles a few Saturdays ago and other than lots of sweating, the walk felt fine.  I need to invest in some good walking shoes.  I'll let my boys help me shop for some this weekend.  I still have trouble with some foods, but one the whole eating is fine.  My annual blood work was also right on the mark.  I have my yearly checkup with Dr. McDaniel next week.  We'll see what he has to say.  To all my friends out there, thanks for the encouragement!  It really helps to stay motivated.  I'll post a photo soon to show the "new" me.

My weight loss has started to slow, but I seem to keep losing inches.  I'm down 91 pounds.  Yeah, hurray!  I'm going to Salt Lake City in July and I hope to be down another 10 pounds by then.  I'm waiting to buy new clothes until I've lost 100 pounds.  It's supposed to be an extra incentive to really watch what I'm eating.  Wish me luck!

I have lost 82 pounds and am feeling great.  I'm down to a size 22/24 Womens and am enjoying shopping for new clothes.  The weight loss has slowed down considerably.  I go in for my six-month check-up on Thursday.  I'll post a note to share how that goes.

It's been a little slow going this last week, but I am down 44 lbs.  I definitely need to get going with an exercise program.  Now that it has gotten cooler it feels really great to be outside.

So far so good for me.  It's been one month since my gastric bypass and I've lost 30 lbs.  I am eating three light meals a day and drinking lots of water.  The hardest part so far is not drinking with my meals.
