Well I have been doing a lot of research on the surgeries and surgeons. I believe I have found the surgeon I want to do my surgery and I have decided on having the sleeve done. This has been a scary decision and I still go back and forth. I know I need to do something more than I have done in the past which is diet after diet. Lose 20,30,40 lbs only to gain them back plus some. It is so hard to believe that I have let myself get to this point. I tell myself-well maybe one more try, but I know I really can't do it on my own- I do need the tool. I have taken the step of calling the surgeon's office to get everything started. As I told them on the phone I believe I have decided on the sleeve. I believe I can accomplish what I want to with this tool. I will talk to the doctor about it at our consolation. I will be doing this over the phone-because I will be traveling out of state. I live in Fla. and he is in George. His name is Dennis Smith and he is out of Mariatta, GA. He really seems to know his business. I also choose him because if I ever decided I needed to go further in the surgeries he specializes in the DS, which is what I would want. Not only that it is difficult to have one surgeon do one thing and then need another surgeon to do something else. Most won't do it. Unfortunately my insurance company does not cover this surgery at all. I'm very disappointed so I will have to be self pay. I'll be working on how I will be able to do that also. So now I'm just reading about everyone's wonderful success stories ( I'm so very happy for all of you) and waiting to get the first part of the process started for me.
