Hi Dee, I just wanted to wish you a safe surgery and a speedy recovery. I believe God cradles us in His arms and keeps us safe, especially in time like these. I will pray for you and your family.

Butterflys are a great symbol of WLS patients. Like the caterpillar, we move slowly. We are not particularly attractive - and most of us are a bit round. Soon, we enter the cocoon stage, where we hide from everyone and everything, and EAT and SLEEP. Then, when the time is right, we emerge from the cocoon, spread our wings, and when they are dry, we fly off, seeking summer flowers. I love the analogy, and can't think of a thing that is better. So, first the butterflies in your stomach, and in your thoughts - pretty soon, you will have them in your heart, and you will be so proud of yourself, and feeling darn good, too!" Best of luck. I just wanted to let you know that I will be thinking about you on your special day and say a prayer for a speedy recovery. Congratulations on beginning a new life with a new healthier you! I am in Killeen and lots of us are going to San Antonio Sept 26 -27th and are going to meet and a couple of people from Obesityhelp.com are going to be there too. Let me know if you are interested and I'll try to forward the information or get someone who can!! I hope to see you there!
