Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).

Hi Karen, Welocme to the AMOS family. I am new to this myself. I had the Lap RNY on July 30. I am one of those slow losers. I have lost 30 pounds so far. For me the decision to have the surgery was the hardest part. I have blue cross and they approved me right away. The letter from your pcp is very important. I found out the name of the lady at my insurance company that was in charge of the authorizations and built rapport with her. After the auth for consult the auth for surgery was easy. Just make sure that you have EVERYTHING that you need the first time your paper work is submitted. Good luck and my prayers are with you. BTW I am a single mom of 2 wonderful daugters. Nicole

I SAID A PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY~*~ I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word I didn't ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn't mind, I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind, I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day, To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small, But it was for His loving care I prayed the most of all. (unknown author) FROM MY HEART TO YOU~*~Hugs~*~
