Today is August 27, 2009 . I am now post-op 17 days. I had a revision surgery from the Realize Band to RNY Gastric Bypass. The band did not work for me. I was totally devestated when I lost 60 lbs and regained 50 within 1 year. So, after several trips to my surgeon, I was approved for a revision with United Health Care. Praise the Lord! It only took a call from my surgeon's office to get approved. I lost 8 lbs pre-op and 15 lbs post-op. I am not complaining, but I sure would like to see the scale move more for me. I'm so scared that this surgery won't work for me, either. Please say a prayer for me!

Restriction...finally!!!

Today is September 11, 2008 and I am 4 1/2 months post-op. Currently, I have lost 41 lbs. I have been at a stand-still for the last 2 months...losing 3-4 lbs, gaining 3-4 lbs, then losing it again. I'm attributing it to the fact that I've not had a good restriction level yet. My last fill of 1.2 ccs brings me to 7.2 ccs. I finally have some restriction. I've had 1-3 PB's or slimes a day since my fill kicked in because I haven't gotten used to the restriction yet. I have to learn how to take small bites and eat slowly once again. Since last week, I've lost 2 lbs. I'm very grateful for this tool!
