Catching up on posts
Jun 09, 2010
I've never really been a "blog" person, but when I was going through some of the worst days, I wanted so much to find someone's blog that might have gone through the same things I did. When I came home from surgery, I wasn't in much pain, I was going to take more loritab, but I was nauseous and called the doctor. He told me to try tylenol or mortin instead. I ended up not taking any pain med. The pain was managable and I didn't want to throw up.
Day 3 I was feeling pretty down. I cried questioning my choice to do this. I couldn't get much food down, I was hungry, the reality of what I had done sunk in. I post here for the first time looking for reassurance.
It seemed like everything was stuck in my throat and I felt a burning sensation. I was assured that this was normal and I would be feeling better soon.
About day 5, yesterday... I did start feeling like I could eat and drink a little. I've been taking 2oz at a time. Today (day 6) I've taken in a little more. I think getting some protien in me has helped the way I feel.
Tomorrow is my first follow up visit, and I get to add mushies to my diet.
