"When I first met Dr. Zapata in his office he welcomed me with a handshake and a smile. He is very warm, approachable, kind, soft spoken and spoke very good english. He answered all my questions about the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG) and more, even though there were other patients waiting in the waiting room. I felt so at ease with this doctor. I felt comfortable about going into surgery with Dr. Zapata and his team, in spite of my fears. His anestiologist, who also spoke good english, came to me before surgery and explained what was going to happen step by step. All of the hospital staff were very kind and attentive. A week later I am back at work and have no complications. I had questions about after-care and Dr. Zapata answered them in an email immediately. I would rate this doctor very high.
