Despite my size, I am very confident and fun loving.

I grew up in a very close knit family.  For every Holiday there was always a gathering with lots of food and fun.  I loved riding horses most my life. I was so blessed to have the opportunity to ride and show.  That is one hobby I miss due to being overweight.

Being an overweight teen was difficult.  In high school, I remember friends having boyfriends and I always had the boys that were friends.  Out of my group of friends, I was always the biggest one.  It was hard not being able to look good in all of the fashionable styles back in the eighties.  You remember leg warmers right?  Not a good look for me back in the day but, I did rock out the big hair.

On the college scene after poor choices of food and beverages, the weight kept adding on.  After marriage to my wonderful husband, and two pregnancies, the weight gain continued.  My children have always had very active schedules (I am thankful that they are active) so my husband and I are always on the go leaving very little time and energy to work on ourselves.

My sole motivation for WLS is for my family.  I want to be around for a long time.   I want to become a role model for them and share the tools for a healthy lifestyle.  I am tired of being on the side lines and am ready to be physically active with family activities such as riding bikes, playing sports, hiking and swimming.  I want to move from being the photographer or hiding in the background in pictures to being proud of what I look like.

My ultimate goal is to have my outside match my inside!
