"I liked Dr. Oweis very much. However I have to do a 3-6 month diet with my PCP per Medical Mutual. I asked his office nurse to submit it now and just maybe they might approve me without the diet. So I cannot comment yet on all the other questions yet.
I am 2 1/2 weeks post op now. I met Dr. Oweis's partner Dr. Duckett 2 weeks before surgery. He was very nice and professional. Although as with Dr. Oweis he is very quick. I think these Doctor's are good Doctor's but need to take classes on how to spend more time with their patients. And be a bit more compassionate with their WLS patients. They are general surgeon's so WLS surgery patient's are not their only patients. They do have an aftercare program. I see Dr. Duckett one more time and then I am to see his nurse every month thereafter.And then if I need a fill one of the Doctor's will do it. They did explain the risks of surgery. Their office staff is average."
