My name is Kanika, I am a single mother of a beautiful son. I started thinking about WLS for a while, but always said that I can do it on my own. But when I went to see my PCP, I found out that my heart condition was more than I expected. I tried every diet you can think of, but would always gain the weight back. I want to live!!!!!!!!!!! There are soo many things out there for me to try and experience, but my weight always held me back. I went for a consult on March 2nd, the surgeon and his staff were great. They gave me a check off list that I started on before I left the consultation. This should tell you that I am on a mission. I went to see a cardiologist and a psychologist within two weeks, and recieved my clearance from them. Now I am waiting on a time to set up to have my preop testing with the hospital, and the necessary classes with the NUT. I am so ready to start the life that I was meant to live!!!!
