9/10/2006 Found out my surgery date woo hoo Was very nervous until the date finally came. this site really helped I kept looking at the before and after photos and reading everyones posts. The liquid diet was not too bad, I made it through. Drinking the fleet was easier when I took it straight down and plugged my nose then followed it with a full glsss of crystal light lemonade! Day of surgery, I asked the Doctor for something because I am prone to panic attacks. Whatever they gave me made me so that I was not nervous at all in fact I laughed and felt kinda intoxicated. THey wheeled me back and I was talking to the nurse and before you know it I was waking up. No soar throat, not too much pain it was just uncomfortable just happy to be alive!! I made it, I did it! I ended up getting sick from the antesthetic and had dry heaves. It did not hurt my stomach, I was just nautious. The nurse finally got me to start drinking the protien shake ny telling me that they were not going to let me go home until I did. So I started sipping.
