Going from Band to Gastric Bypass

Has anyone done this?
My insurance would not pay for the sleeve. So bypass is what I am having. And I was wondering if anyone has gone through this and how you are doing. Also, I start the shakes tomorrow. And I see my dr. tomorrow to go over some details. Am I aloud to have coffee
and other drinks while I am on the shakes?? Any advice you have would be great. 2 weeks till surgery.
