I'm 39 years old, married to an Army soldier, and mother to a 15-year old son, and we moved to coastal Georgia from the mountains of western Colorado last fall. What a change! Georgia is beautiful and save for the humidity that I'm not used to yet, I am really liking it here so far. I recently graduated from college with a certificate degree in medical coding and transcription. I love to read, I dabble in writing, and arts and crafts. I pretty much love all kinds of music, though 70's and 80's are my favorite genres. I love all kinds of movies as well -- everything from George Romero's Dawn of the Dead flicks to Jim Carrey, Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell comedies to the 'chick flicks' on Lifetime TV. :)
As far as my weight? Well, I've been battling it for what seems like all my life. Now that my husband's in the military, I'm excited that for the first time ever, it looks like I stand a chance of having insurance that supports this type of help. Now that we're finally here at the new duty station, I'm going to get the process started and gear up towards the surgery as soon as I can. Though I'm frightened, I'm also excited. I've had to be brutally honest with myself lately -- it's hard to admit that I need surgical intervention to get this done. But truth be told, if I could have done it on my own by now, I would have. I need this tool to get this under control once and for all and get on with the business of living a happy and healthy life and being here for as long as possible for my two guys.
