One week after surgery and I've lost almost 15 lbs!  It's been a tough week.  Sore belly and lots of gas.  Although I've never been sensitive to codeine, the liquid pain medicine on an empty stomach caused me several bouts of severe nausea which even the anti-nausea meds coundn't reduce.  Stopped the codeine and switched to liquid Tylanol mid-week along with Gas-X to reduce the lactose-induced gas from the liquid protein.  Feeling pretty good now that I've found the balance.

WARNING!  Ketosis = Halitosis (really bad).  Have to brush my mouth several times a day...

I am excited, eager, nervous, happy, and a touch scared.  Tomorrow is my lapband surgery day.  I almost feel elated like I'm leaving on a cruise or vacation.  My wife is more anxious.  I am comfortable that I am in very good hands of my surgeon and his competant staff.
