I'm a stay at home mom. I have been fighting the weight issue all my life. I have made several attemps at weight loss and have been succesful a couple of times, but could not keep it off. As time went on I got married and had two girls, two very active girls. I started popping up with some very scarry health issues, so to me this was a sign that something had to be done. I love beeing a mom and a wife and with some of these health problems I have, the reality was that if I didnt do something about my weight, these health issues would win the battle and eventually take my life. This I DO NOT want to happen, I just cant stand the thought of leaving my wonderful husband and my girls behind. So this is where I decided to take advantage of this wonderful operation that surgeons were performing. I am amazed at how it has changed people lives and saved lives, people like me that just could fight the up and down weight problems anymore. I look at this surgery as a wonderful tool to help people succeed in becomeing the person they have always wanted to be. To be healthier happier and to look and feel wonderful. And to live the life they've always wanted to live. A longer life.
