Well, had my surgery last monday (april 9,2007).  Still not feeling great, and wondering if I will every see regular food again.   This has been a rough 5 days.  I will post an update in a few more days, hopefully more optimistic than this one.

Well, this is my very first blog.  Here's the situation:  I finished my 6 months of medically supervised diet required by Cigna yesterday.  Dr. Ferrari's office said they would request the records and forward them to Insurance.  So the waiting begins.  I am ready for my surgery.  I have researched, studied, interviewed, contemplated, and everything else I could possibly do.  My sister in law had a RNY 1 1/2 years ago, and she is by my side every step of the way.  I am 39 yrs old, 231 lbs, 5'4", and wear a size 16-18 on bottom and 22-24 on top.  I have a 7 yr old daughter and 17 yr old son.  My husband is great, and supportive of my decision.  So I am more than ready, and want Cigna to call RIGHT NOW and say go have your surgery.  But I will wait.  Maybe not patiently.
That is where I am now.  I will post every step of my journey.
