"My sister Cathy had the GB surgery in August 2001 and, to make a long story short, is in dire need of a reversal. She went from over 300 lbs and is down to around 90 now, literally starving to death thanks to the butcher job she received from Dr. Skogerson. Not only did he not follow up on her after the surgery, it was recently discovered that he completely botched her procedure and it was done upside-down. She is undergoing surgery in a few days (Oct. 2006) to have part of her stomach removed in an effort to save her life. She has spent the last two years in and out of the hospital getting blood transfusions, b-12 injections, and a host of other treatments to assist her in basically surviving. She is not the same person anymore and has lost the will to live. Did I mention that she has had to eat all of her meals lying down? Cathy is one of many hurt by this man but I cannot speak on behalf of the others, Please make sure you have researched your doctor before you have this done. I paid to have a report run on Dr. Skogerson and it was unfavorable. In addition, her own family physician advised her not to allow Skogerson to do it. He was the only one her insurance would pay for and she was desperate. Don't gamble with your life, it's not worth it."
