"Met Dr. Macik Oct 11, at his office near Northside Hospital. He stated all is looking good. I have all my appts i.e., upper GI, respiratory and Cardio scheduled and my surgery date is Thursday, Oct 14, 04 at Northside Hospital. Impressed with his staff. Very friendly, he was pleasant and made me feel comfortable. Have a post-op appt w/him on the Oct 12.

Surgery 14 Oct 04. Dr. Macik is great! After surgery he came by to see how I was doing and stated that I was now on the other side. His staff came by to see me Friday, Oct 15, to check on me and I spoke with them today Oct 18, 04 for follow-up information. They are great, he and his staff want to ensure you are doing fine and they are there when and/or if you need them.

Had 2 week followup with Dr. Macik. He was not available but saw the Dr. Assistant instead, she was great. She advised me on what meals I can eat next, what vitamins to take and showed me how to give myself vitamin b12 shots.
I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Macik and his staff. They have always treated me with the ultra-most respect, support and kindness & support.
Jun 22, 05 - I am now 8 mts out and down to 174lbs. From a size 26-28 to a 16/14. Dr. Macik & his staff are grand, no matter how I feel or if I need anything I know I can count on them when I have too. Thank You Dr. Macik & your staff you have given me my life back. "
