Hello everyone! This is the start of my journey of the gastric surgery community. I have dreamed of this for years now. I have struggled with my weighted since I was about 11 years old. I was diagnosed with type I diabetes at age 18 oddly enough. This has added to the stress of weight gain, all the insulin i have to take. I was placed on the insulin pump 7 years ago and then had my thyroid removed 3 years ago due to Hosimotos. It is a struggle everyday. I am now starting my process to have bariatric surgery. I am finaly able to have this done and it seems the day will never get here. Hopefully with lots of prayers and the awesome support I have from family and friends, this will be a great journey. I am ready!
