Alright, well I finally feel like writing about my experiences with GBS so here goes nothing.I had surgery on Sept. 29th, at around 11:30am at Toledo Hospital and I got up to my room around 5:30ish. The first time I tried to walk I seriously wanted to puke. I was light headed, and weak and nausous, it was horrible!
Thursday, I was ready to go, the doctors came in early that morning and I thought for sure I was going home shortly after. NOPE they took their sweet ole time discharging me, but hey I was happy when they said SEE YA LATER!
The first couple of days were fuzzy and blurry, between pain meds and napping I dont really remember much. I know I didnt feel good but as I started to get things figured out, plus my B12 shot, I started to feel a LOT better.
My one week check up came and went and I'm down 14lbs. I could not find a protein shake that pleased me so for now I'm drinking Muscle Milk, it has 25g. of protein per container and low sugar. It kind of taste like Boost or Ensure. I also had to order Celebrate Multivitamins because I couldnt STAND the kids chewables. They make me gag!
Well, all in all, I feel a lot better and hope that I continue to lose the weight.
