update 10/11/02 darn...well, unfortunately found out that even my appointments w/the Wish Center are not covered under my insurance, and i can't afford $1,000 + per appt.. i can change my insurance through my job starting january, but it still wouldn't cover enough. it's been frustrating and depressing, since i have set my mind on this. now i'm looking for something that at least has a comparable follow-up program that my insurance will cover. my new pcp is great, and is willing to help me in any way she can. if anybody knows of a good surgeon here that is covered by AETNA HMO, please let me know!

Just a quick update... I have my first appointment with the Wish Center scheduled for next month. Next week, I have my first appointment with my new PCP...hopefully she will give me a referral, or i'll have to start all over again. Wish me luck!

Aloha, We now have a new online support group for the EAST Valley...here is the link http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AZWLS_Eastside/ Also we have meetings on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at Valley Lutheran Medical Center from 530pm to 730pm located at Broadway and Power Rd. Anyone is invited to come regardless of surgeon, procedure, insurance.. All is welcome...pre-ops....post ops...researchers... We have people come from all over the valley as far as Sun City to Casa Grande!! DEE in AZ
