Surgery Scheduled!

My surgery has been schedule for Monday, December 2nd. My 2 week liquid pre-op diet starts Monday, so this is my last weekend that food gets to control my life. The past week, I've been thinking about what I will eat for my "food funeral." I've been doing pretty well for my 6 month pre-op diet plan, so I figure it won't hurt. Maybe for some people this might be counter-productive, but I really feel like the emotions I'll feel while eating will help put my relationship with food into perspective so I can let go once and for all. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe this day of gluttony will just make me miss food even more, but no matter what, I know I need to have this surgery and change the way I feel about food. I have no choice if I want to live a long and healthy life.
