It's been a really long time since I have written a post or even gotten on in a long time. Yesterday was my 1 year anniversary of my surgery. I am now 120 pounds lighter and feeling great!

Well, I'm 12 days out of surgery and i'm still a tad sore granted my main incision got infected so the doctor basically had to reopen it and drain the fluid out which did not feel all that great.
on the day of surgery i was way too tired from being up so early that i wasnt really nervous at all. i went up with all the other patients having surgery at the same time as me and changed into my gown and lovely socks and got my shot in my tummy and my iv. i fell asleep waiting around so i dont remember being rolled into the OR and the only thing i remember at all is them telling me to take deep breathes and then i was out. i woke up in the recovery room but i was still pretty out of it so cant share on my experience with that either lol. basically im going to sum up my hospital stay because it is very boring. The head biatric nurse i couldnt stand and she yelled at me for 30 minutes because the NURSES did not tell me to get out of bed and walk. i knew i was suppose to walk but i wasnt sure when i was suppose to start like how soon after surgery or whatever. so i was mad with them because of that but it was okay i started walking and it made me feel a lot better. the visit in the hospital was long and slow and i was very excited to go home!
At home i was still pretty sore and i still am somewhat sore here on day 12 mostly attributed to my infection. I enjoy walking a lot and feel great when im able to do so. i am going a tad stir crazy bc i am more then ready to go back to work. i go to the doctor for my 2 week follow up on weds. so hopefully i can return to work on thursday.
oh, my liquid diet hasn't been that bad other then having a strange taste in my mouth and my mouth getting dry pretty quickly. i'm drinking my protein supplements and taking my vitamins and its been going smoothly however i am bored with it and im thankful i only have 2 days until i can eat food!
I've lost 13 pounds which isn't a lot however my doctor said for my weight that it was a good amount to of lost soo i'll take that.

My surgery is on Tuesday at 7:30 in the morning so tomorrow is my last day of work for two weeks. It's such a strange feeling. My friend asked me if I was excited and of course I am! However, I'm also EXTREMELY nervous because I have never really undergone a major surgery and I love medicine and anything medical in general however being in a hospital for even two days makes me nervous. Blah, at least my dad is coming in for the week to help me out since Mark can't be there. I hate that so much...damn deployments to Iraq! I need my honey here. I keep thinking "what if i need help getting the the shower?!" cuz i'm not relying on my dad for help with that one lol! I know everything will be okay however I'm still nervous!
