Info overload!!!

So I had my 'big appointment' today with Dr. Estakhri, the dietitian and therapist.  I like the fact that I was able to knock it all out in one appointment.  So much to process mentally, hopefully blogging will help organize my cluttered brain ;)

1- Staff is fantastic!!  They program they have established there is all about informing patients and having a lot of aftercare available. 
2-I found out that.. I'm not going to be able to have the lap band surgery like I wanted to.  Apparently I'm too over weight for it, and will not have good results.  Dr. Estakhri was very patient with me and answered all questions I had about the bypass.  On paper it sounds perfect and fantastic, but still need to think about it some more.
3-Very confident that I'll be approved.  I asked the therapist at the end of our session how she felt about my situation and what her recommendation would be for me.  She said OK, she would approve me for surgery.

So it's been a good news/bad news kind of day.  Have a lot of reading to do and decisions to make.  Thank God I don't have to make one tonight!
