Well, the story is rather simple. I began my wl journey on 30 July 2004 in Little Rock, AR. Dr. Clay Wellborn is the man that I credit with my being on the road to a healthy life. I have cerebral palsy and I confinded myself to a wheelchair. I thought that at that point, there was no hope for me to have a life, let alone a normal life.
I was a student at Arkansas State Unversity-Mountain Home and a teacher and later a good friend had had the surgery. She looked amazing being just 7 wks out. I began to seriously consider it for myself. I this was my last hope to gain some control of my life. I still had two kids at home and I was a newlywed. I wanted to be around for my children and I was finding it hard to breath at night. I sought out Dr. Wellborn and began the process.
IT has been 3 yrs, and I feel great! in fact now I am in talks with a plastic surgeon to get the skin removed and so I will walk a lot better.
